Meeting for students of Electrical Engineering 20.4.2022

We are holding another meeting for International Students on Wednesday, April 20. at 5 p.m. in the “Arbeitsraum”.

It’s going to be a games night for students of Electrical Engineering. The room is located next to the lobby of the Pfaffenwaldring 47 building. When you enter through the entrance coming from the “S-Bahn”, just go down the stairs and you will find us on the right hand side. We will be playing board and card games and there will be plenty of time for getting to know each other.

(Please make sure you know and follow the University’s current Coronavirus regulations: https://www.uni-stuttgart.de/en/university/news/corona/ The meeting is going to be held under 3G rules, During the meeting FFP2 masks (or similar) need to be worn.)

Jubilee at stuvus

Our students council stuvus turns 10 this year! To celebrate this appropriately we would like to invite you cordially to our four-day celebration in the marquee on the Vaihingen campus.

There will be a varied programme, including performances by the Allmand-Chaoten-Orchester and the 90s cover band Lehner. On Saturday there will be a Weißwurst breakfast, and on Sunday a ceremony will conclude the event in a fitting setting.

You will probably meet us Fachschaft members mainly behind the beer bar. We are looking forward to seeing many familiar faces!

Upper door of Pfaffenwaldring 47 with ECUS accessible

It is now possible for all Electrical Engineering students to unlock the upper door of the Pfaffenwaldring 47 building (near the S-Bahn train station) with their ECUS.

To provide access to the Paffenwaldring 47 building for these students, especially at night and on weekends, it is possible to open the door with the ECUS. Since the only door with this function has been out of order recently, a second door is now available for ECUS entry.

First Semester Induction for the Summer Semester 2023

The introductory session will be held on 03.04.2023, with a presentation by the Dean of Study and us, and a pancake lunch followed by a campus tour.

CIP-Pool at IKR available for studying

The CIP-Pool at IKR ( room 1.311 in ETI 2 ) is once again open for studies during the week. Opening hours are from 8 am to 6 pm.

During the lecture period some lectures are held in this room. During these the room is not open to the public. Since this is the last week of the current lecture period, the room will fully be available for studying beginning next monday.

In the second week after the start of lectures, one of the biggest parties in the winter semester will take place. There will be eight hours of non-stop partying on two levels in the foyer of the V47. Low prices, cool DJs, cocktails & londrinks, the game corner and much more speak for themselves. With this concept, the eMotions has earned a excellent reputation over the last 20 years.

Keysight Workshop on the 25.10.2022 on "High-Speed Oscilloscopes Fundamentals"

This semester as well we can offer you some interesting workshops in cooperation with Keysight again in the next months.

The excursion to the Böblingen site, which had to be cancelled at short notice last semester, will also take place this semester. The next workshop with the topic “High-Speed Oscilloscopes Fundamentals” is already next week and will take place in the ETI1 V47 building at the university. The workshop will be held in English. There are committee elections from 11.07 to 21.07 at the University of Stuttgart once again. Go vote!

Three bodies are elected: the Student Parliament (StuPa), the Senate and the Faculty Council (Fakrat). For the StuPa and the Fakrat you can vote for students from your study program. The advantage for you is that all topics that are dealt with in the committees are discussed in advance in the public student council meeting, in which you are also allowed to participate, so you have the opportunity to influence political events on campus even without standing for election. You can vote at the siam-portal of the university Stuttgart.

The Faculty Council decides on issues such as new professorships and the faculty budget. In addition, the faculty council sends representatives to various commissions.

The StuPa is mainly concerned with how your tuition fee can be used sensibly. Your everyday study life is enriched and the studyability at the University of Stuttgart is guaranteed.
